The Lord will fight for you..

“The Lord will fight for you while you [only need to] keep silent and remain calm.” (Exodus 14:14 Amplified Bible)

Hello, it’s Baesam again:

Earlier this year I wrote to you regarding how a loved one of mine was drifting from the Lord; digging themselves deeper into a hole I knew would only bring more despair. And no matter what I did nothing seemed to get through to them. Then, the Lord spoke to me: “BE SILENT.” he said, “Take this situation out of the physical realm and into the spiritual realm.”

I did what I believed the Holy Spirit was asking me to do: I stopped trying to fix the situation in my own strength and instead pressed closer into the Lord through prayer. I did my best to trust that HE is the one working. He loves this person even greater than I do. He alone could get through to them, and that is enough. He is enough. I released myself from responsibility of the outcome of this person’s walk with the Lord, and I did the one thing He asked me to do - pray. Pray and release the Lord to do what He does best - change lives and restore hearts.

During this time, I struggled, because I was not seeing results. There were days I wrestled with the fear of this person falling even farther away. How could the Lord get through to them if I’m not sharing about His goodness or expressing His love to them? Though I battled these thoughts, I clung to what I DO know: My God is faithful to finish what HE started. My God is good and will work all things for good, for those He loves. My God is all powerful, all-knowing, and He is Love. He loves this person even more then I do. I clung to these undeniable truths and mediated on who I know His character to be. Each time a fearful thought would come, I would pray, releasing responsibility and control.

I am so, so thankful to give you this update today that I am seeing amazing change in this person’s life. They are currently going through the 8-week Accelerated Restoration series and are excited about what they are learning. (This is a huge miracle all on its own!) They are softening and really experiencing the goodness of the Lord in a fresh, new way. They are healing and growing, building their own relationship with the Lord. He is laying a foundation and I believe I will see them flourish, like never before. The Lord has done a miraculous work in their life beyond what I had even prayed for, let alone accomplish in my own strength.

I am reminded again of how big and powerful our God is. Yes, He chooses to partner with us, but that doesn’t mean we have to carry the weight on our shoulders. His yolk is easy and His burden is light. Life-changing power comes from Him, and Him alone. He is so good.

If you have a loved one who has gone astray or need a miraculous answer to prayer, please reach out. I would love to stand with you in prayer, as we all continue releasing our needs to One Most-High. I am believing for more of our loved ones to be set free from bondage and to walk in the freedom of knowing our God and His goodness!
